    What do you do outside of camp? Camp, camp, camp all year long!

    I look forward to teaching: I wish I taught camp activities I am looking forward to participating in as many as I can this summer!

    Summer goal: I am excited to get to know as many campers as I can 😃

    Fun Fact: I have been sky diving, caving and have swum with dolphins & manatees in the wild

  • Megan Klok
    Megan Klok Assistant Director

    Year at PVC: 3rd, all on staff

    What do you do outside of camp? I am a graduate student at the University of Rhode Island where I am earning a masters in education. I also am an elementary school substitute teacher.

    I look forward to teaching: I am looking forward to checking out all program areas throughout the summer.

    Summer goal: I hope to support all staff the best I can, to make great connections with campers, and to have lots of fun.

    Fun Fact: I performed in front of Cinderella’s castle at the Magic Kingdom when I was in middle school.

    Year at PVC: This is my 11th summer! (4 as a camper, 7 on staff)

    What do you do outside of camp? I am a senior biology and spanish double major at Union College, and I will be graduating in June! In the fall I will be heading home to MA and plan to enter the big wide world of biomedical research!

    I look forward to teaching: I am SO excited to spend everyday at the best place on camp— the waterfront!

    Summer goal: My goal is be as great of a role model for campers, as so many of my amazing counselors were for me!

    Fun Fact: I spent my winter break in Buenos Aires and Patagonia, Argentina! Ask me about it!

    Current home: Boston/Roslindale

    Year at PVC: Twelve!! Four as a camper, eight on staff

    What do you do outside of camp? I’m the Associate Membership Director at the Charles River Y in Needham – my supervisors & co-workers there are cool enough to let me sneak back up to camp for a few months this summer!

    I look forward to teaching: I won’t be teaching regular classes this summer, but I’m hoping to pop in to teach some training sessions for our leadership programs as well as some swim classes!

    Summer goal: This summer, I really want to focus on passing traditions & responsibilities on to our incredible counselors, as well as forming connections with all of the J-Ville campers!

    Fun Fact: If you add up all the weeks, I’ve spent over 1.5 years at camp!

    Year at PVC: This will be my 9th summer at PVC and 6th summer on staff!

    What do you do outside of camp? I’m going into my senior year at UMass Amherst and hope to go to PA school after I graduate. During school I work as an EMT in Springfield!

    I look forward to teaching: I can’t wait to teach lifeguarding to the CITs!

    Summer goal: My goal for the summer is to make new friends, push myself out of my comfort zone, and help guide the CITs as they grow into amazing counselors!

    Fun Fact: One time I saw the Queen of England in person as she was leaving Buckingham Palace.

    Year at PVC: This will be my 16th year at camp, and out of those 16, my 9th on staff!

    What do you do outside of camp? I currently work at La Boca Restaurant and Stark Creative, as well as for various freelance design clients!

    I look forward to teaching: I always look forward to popping into archery or swim lessons!

    Summer goal: My biggest goal for this summer is to spend as much time as possible being present with people and less time in the office!

    Fun Fact: I love to skate and sometimes you might catch me wearing rollerblades in the dining hall!

    Year at PVC: This will be my 12th summer at PVC, 6th on staff and 1st on EC!

    What do you do outside of camp? I attend UNH as a zoology student. I am also the president of the University’s women’s rowing program!

    I look forward to teaching: Riflery will always be my favorite activity at PVC.

    Summer goal:  I would love to visit the waterfront more this summer, and maybe even go for a swim! Though, I will forever be #land-staff

    Fun Fact: I often make really odd sounds, but am never able to on command.

    What do you do outside of camp? Just graduated from Global College where I learned about global responsibility and social and cultural awareness

    I look forward to teaching: I love my CITs but I’m also excited to improve my crafting, swimming, and riflery skills in my spare time

    Summer goal: Dedicate myself to everything I’m doing. Take care of others and take care of myself

    Fun Fact: When I was little (slash maybe still now) I used to swim around the sides of any pool I was in waving to the walls like I was a mermaid in an aquarium

    What do you do outside of camp? Teach tiny humans how to ski and drive little ones to school

    Summer goal: I love tie-dying! One of my goals is to have fun tie-dying with all the campers this summer

    Fun Fact: I have hiked 11 of the 4K mountains and plan to finish them all someday!

    What do you do outside of camp? I’m a senior in high school, and I will be at Sacred Heart University for the next 6 years!!!!

    I look forward to teaching: I’m super psyched to teach riflery!!

    Summer goal: My goals for this summer are to push myself out of my comfort zone, and encourage others to do the same, as well as living in the moment and enjoying every second and part of camp!

    Fun Fact: A fun fact about me is that I just bought one of those metal straws that bend and fit into a keychain holder and I’m so excited about it that I just want to tell everyone!! Get ready to see me with it 25/8 this summer!! #savetheplanet

    Year at PVC: This will be my 7th year at camp and first on staff!!

    What do you do outside of camp? I am a junior in high school at Arlington High School where I run track and play soccer

    I look forward to teaching: I’m so excited to teach woodshop and any activities on the waterfront!

    Summer goal: A goal I have for this summer is to always keep a positive attitude and get as many kids involved in woodshop as possible!!!

    Fun Fact: A fun fact about me is that I love Hydroflasks (the water bottles)!!!

    What do you do outside of camp? I work as a swim instructor and a swim coach. I’m also a correspondent student at the University of Budapest.

    I look forward to teaching: Swim like a shark!! 🙂

    Summer goal: My goal is to have a lot of fun with the campers and the staff.

    Year at PVC: This summer will be my 9th at PVC and my 5th on staff!

    What do you do outside of camp?  I am currently studying communications at Laval University in Quebec and also working in a pizza place.

    I look forward to teaching: I can’t wait to live with the LIT’s this summer, while running Ball Games for the 3rd year in a row. Yay sports! I am also a huge fan of Ropes and blowing bubbles during knoll time.

    Summer goal: This summer, my main goal is to jump in the lake more than one time per session (the land is where I belong, I can’t help it!)

    Fun Fact: One fun fact about me is that I have been using the same orange music speaker every summer since I was a CIT. It is as tough as me!

    What do you do outside of camp? I am going into my senior year at Plymouth State University. I am one of two presidents of the graphic design club as well as the Art Director for WPCR Radio Station in Plymouth, NH.

    I look forward to teaching: I am looking forward to getting crafty in the arts and crafts room!!

    Summer goal: A goal I have for this summer is to be confident in the decisions I make when I am leading activities.

    Year at PVC: My 11th summer! 6 camper, 5 staff

    What do you do outside of camp? I’m going into my junior year at UMass where I study psychology and developmental disabilities, hoping to eventually become a nurse practitioner. I also work as a research assistant in a social psychology lab and at the Hadley Central Rock Gym.

    I look forward to teaching: I spend all day every day in the trees up at ropes and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

    Summer goal: To make ropes the best it’s ever been and do the most buoy swims out of anyone at camp

    Fun Fact: I have a passion for the bee movie

    What do you do outside of camp? I just finished my freshman year at Washington University in St. Louis where I am studying Architecture with a possible minor in Physics.

    I look forward to teaching: I love to teach dance and swim!

    Summer goal: For my cabin to win the golden dustpan!!

    Fun Fact: I am a firm believer that the cinematic masterpiece National Treasure (starring the one and only Nicholas Cage) is truly one of this nation’s greatest treasures.

    Year at PVC: This is my 12th summer at camp and 4th on staff

    What do you do outside of camp? I am headed into my sophomore year at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles

    I look forward to teaching: I love teaching rifle but also like to try teaching new activities every summer!

    Summer goal: Hopefully impact a campers summer for the better, just like my counselors did for me!

    Fun Fact: The first thing I learned how to cook was rainbow toast in pre-school

    Year at PVC: This will be my 6th summer at camp – Second on staff!

    What do you do outside of camp? I’m going into my sophomore year at the University of New Hampshire to study English and Secondary Education to hopefully become a high school teacher. (I spent this past year at Simmons University in Boston)

    I look forward to teaching: I am SO excited to teach Arts & Crafts all day every day

    Summer goal: My goal for this summer is to make Arts & Crafts fun for EVERY camper that takes it. Also, I really want to bond with the people around me and learn new things.

    Fun Fact: I realized I have this thing where I try a completely new and random sport every other year. This year I joined the Simmons Crew team (I had never rowed before). I was on my high school’s diving team for two years. I was ALMOST on my high school’s tennis team, however, I was one of the two people that got cut during tryouts.

    What do you do outside of camp? I recently finished up the last few days of my senior year! Graduation is coming up and I am so excited! I will be attending Skidmore College in the fall!

    I look forward to teaching:  I will be on the waterfront guarding, maybe teaching a water activity or at the archery range this summer!

    Summer goal: This summer a goal of mine is to make my 10th summer the best yet! To give campers the same camper experience that I had, and to make more friends!

    Fun Fact: A fun fact about me is that my arms are double jointed and they look broken when I straighten them!

    What do you do outside of camp? This year I will graduate high school and will attend the University of Vermont in the fall. I’m going to major in exercise science and play volleyball!

    I look forward to teaching: I’m super excited to get back to teaching swim and sail!! Long live the waterfront!

    Summer goal: This year I want to challenge myself by getting to know my campers as well as I can during the 2 weeks we have together

    Fun Fact: I am passionate about honey mustard being declared the best condiment to ever exist.

    What do you do outside of camp?  I am a senior in high school and I will be attending Boston University in the fall!

    Summer goal: Ths summer, I want to grow as a counselor in the aspect of really being a role model for my campers. I learned so many life lessons at camp as a camper and I want to do the same for mine this summer!

    What do you do outside of camp? I’m currently a senior at Westwood High school and will be attending the University of Vermont next year where I’ll be majoring in Environmental Studies!

    I look forward to teaching: I’m most excited for arts + crafts and rifle!

    Summer goal: I want to help camp in general as much as possible, get out of my comfort zone, and make deeper connections with campers and counselors.

    Fun Fact: I’ve been to the Galápagos Islands!

    What do you do outside of camp? Outside of camp, I am a student and a platform tennis player in USA nationals. In the fall I will be going to Syracuse University to study architecture!

    I look forward to teaching: My favorite camp activity is canoe/kayak!

    Summer goal: My goal for this summer is to help the campers have the best summer ever!

    Fun Fact: I have 5 siblings and all of them went to Pleasant Valley or North Woods!

    What do you do outside of camp? I am a senior in high school. I work at the golf course right now! Next year I am going to Colorado Mountain College for nursing.

    What do you do outside of camp? I’m in my senior year of high school and I will be attending UNH in the fall.

    Summer goal: I want my campers to have as much fun as possible and that means being invested in them. I also want to be more organized

    What do you do outside of camp? I am a senior in high school and will be attending Skidmore College after my gap year abroad next year!

    I look forward to teaching: I teach waterski and love spending my whole day on the waterfront!

    Summer goal: My goal for this summer is to be present and to work on finding balance between self care and helping others! I also want to push myself outside of my comfort zone and try new things!

    Fun Fact: A fun fact about me is that I reallllyyyy want to join an acapella group in college, but I can’t sing to save my life.

    What do you do outside of camp? I am an incoming freshman at Northeastern University

    I look forward to teaching: Suuuper excited to get my Merida on up at the archery range and I can’t wait to sing my heart out in the dining hall

    Summer goal: This entire year I’ve been rigorously practicing my Olympic speedwalking skills and my goal this summer is to set a new record for fastest time up the Milky Way, in my closed toed shoes of course!

    Fun Fact: A fun fact about me is that I came up with a song to help Latin students learn land formations and I’m now famous in the niche world of Latin teachers aka I’m the bomb.com Julius Caesar style

    Year at PVC: This will be my 8th summer visiting camp

    What do you do outside of camp? Mum to Daniel and Naomi (both at camp this summer), wife to Tim and In-house Counsel (lawyer) in industry. Swimming is my love and I swim, coach and judge for our town swim team.

    I look forward to teaching: Looking forward to teaching those little fishes to swim, swim, swim!

    Summer goal: Enjoy every second of my time visiting camp as you never know when you’ll get to come back

    Fun Fact: I am a leap-year baby so still a minor – just about!

    What do you do outside of camp? I am currently wrapping up my senior year of high school, and I am a rising Freshman at the University of Pennsylvania hoping to focus on Education

    I look forward to teaching: I am so excited to kayak my heart out across my favorite lake

    Summer goal: This summer, I want to learn at least one piece of wisdom from each of my campers and fellow staff

    Fun Fact: I can say the alphabet backwards in under 10 seconds

    Year at PVC: This will be my 8th summer at camp and 2nd summer on staff.

    What do you do outside of camp? I am a senior in high school attending St. Lawrence University in New York next fall!

    I look forward to teaching: I teach sailing and this summer I will teach waterski for the second half of the summer!

    Summer goal: This summer, I want to be confident and push my comfort zone and inspire campers to do the same.

    Fun Fact: I never wear matching socks!

    Current home: Nottingham, UK

    Year at PVC: This is going to be my first year at the camp. The reason why I applied is that I am a people person and spending my summer abroad with everything new makes me happy and super excited.

    What do you do outside of camp? Just finishing my second year at Nottingham Trent University, studying Property Finance and Investment. I have my internship year coming and then I have my final year at university.

    I look forward to teaching: I am very excited to get my Lifeguard certificate to be at the waterfront and teach kids swimming.

    Summer goal: My goal is to make sure that each camper and staff remember is always happy around me. Happiness gives you a sense of freedom.

    Fun Fact: I was born in Estonia and I can also speak Russian and Estonian.

  • Kathleen Burden
    Kathleen Burden Head Counselor

    Hometown: Tresham, a small hamlet just outside the city of Bristol, UK.

    Year at PVC: 1st year

    What do you do outside of camp? I’m still living here with my parents until I move to the City of Brighton to start Architecture! As I’m currently on my gap year I was seeking an adventure and came across Pleasant Valley Camp which seemed perfect! I’m so excited to go to America for the first time!

    I look forward to teaching: I’m excited to lifeguard and help with sports or creative activities as I enjoy both in my spare time, especially field hockey and painting.

    Summer goal: One goal I want to set myself this summer is to try to make new friends and many new amazing memories, as well as help others have the best summer they can.

    Fun Fact: One fun fact about me is that I’ve been swimming with a wild hammerhead shark and made it out alive to tell the tale!

  • Evie Boulstridge
    Evie Boulstridge Head Counselor

    Hometown: Nuneaton, UK

    Current home: Liverpool, UK

    Year at PVC: This will be my first year at PVC! I decided to apply to work here this year because I think it will push me out of my comfort zone. I’m happiest when I’m active, with plenty of things to do, and so I really think I’ll thrive in the camp environment!

    What do you do outside of camp? I’m in my third year at the University of Liverpool, studying Psychology. I’m also a member of the University Trampoline Club! Next year I hope to complete a Masters degree in Clinical and Health Psychology.

    I look forward to teaching: I think I’m most excited to get involved with the water activities. I also really want to give dance a go – I did it for years growing up, but stopped when I came to University.

    Summer goal: This summer, I want to be the best version of myself. I want to make as many new friends as possible, and really push myself out of my comfort zone.

    Fun Fact: I know the opening song from Beauty and the Beast by heart.

  • Savannah Wojcik
    Savannah Wojcik Head Counselor

    Hometown: Belchertown, MA

    Year at PVC:  This will be my first year at PVC, I decided to work at a summer camp because in the future I want to be a backpacking guide, and I thought this would be a great place to start.

    What do you do outside of camp? I currently am attending the University of Maine Farmington, in Farmington Maine. I will be a sophomore in the fall and am studying outdoor recreation.

    I look forward to teaching: I am very excited to teach hiking and outdoor activities this summer.

    Summer goal: One goal I have set for myself is to make as many new friends as possible, and give all the campers the best summer possible.

    Fun Fact: I have run in 2 spartan races and finished 1st in my age group both times.

    What do you do outside of camp? I am going into my junior year of high school.

    I look forward to teaching: I am looking forward to teaching archery this summer.

    Summer goal: One goal I have for this summer is to step out of my comfort zone and meet new people.

    Fun Fact: I am a black belt in karate and taekwon-do

  • Anna Parsons
    Anna Parsons Assistant Counselor and Lifeguard

    Hometown: Newton, MA

    Year at PVC: This year will be my 4th at PVC and my 1st on staff!

    What do you do outside of camp? I’m a junior at Newton South High School where I play field hockey and swim competitively on both the school team and on my club team, the CRA Dragons in Boston.

    I look forward to teaching: This summer I am VERY excited to be at the waterfront, as I will hopefully be teaching sailing and swimming.

    Summer goal: One goal I also hope to fulfill during my time at camp this year is to help my campers to my full capacity- whether this is time management and getting to lineup on time every morning, or guiding kids to their Admirals in sailing!

    Fun Fact: A fun fact about me (actually, not so fun) is that when I was 12, my family went white water rafting in Wyoming on the deathly rapids of Snake River (yes, people have died there!) and afterward, our guide said that our raft dump trucked on one of the huge drops in the river and we were just centimeters away from flipping! Still one of the best and craziest experiences of my life, I definitely recommend it.

    What do you do outside of camp? I’m currently a junior at NHS so I pretty much just started the college search, but I am passionate about marine biology and am a certified PADI scuba diver!

    I look forward to teaching: I love teaching swim lessons!! And ropes of course where I get to chillax in the trees

    Summer goal: My goal this summer is to help someone conquer a fear of theirs (could be a camper, fellow counselor, or me!)

    Fun Fact: I hate wearing shoes … and I obsessively make friendship bracelets when I’m stressed

    What do you do outside of camp? I am a junior (soon to be senior!) at Concord-Carlisle High School

    I look forward to teaching: The activities I am looking forward to teaching is Ropes and Arts & Crafts!!

    Summer goal: One goal I have for myself this summer is to get to meet as many new people as I can and make new long lasting friendships

    Fun Fact: One fun fact about myself is that I can hula-hoop on my knees for a solid 5 minutes straight!

    What do you do outside of camp? I am a junior in high school at Ursuline Academy and I throw the javelin in track

    Year at PVC: This summer will be my 9th year at camp and first on staff

    What do you do outside of camp? I am a junior at Milton High where I play field hockey and lacrosse

    I look forward to teaching: I’m super excited to teach swim!

    Summer goal: One goal I have for myself is to make a first year camper love camp just as much as my counselors did my first year. The counselors were one of the main reasons why camp was so fun so I want to be that counselor for a camper

    Fun Fact: I can sing with my mouth closed!!

    Year at PVC: This will be my fifth summer at camp, and my first year on staff (#GetThePin)

    What do you do outside of camp? I’m a junior in high school at West Boylston, and on weekends I work at Davis Farmland.

    I look forward to teaching: I’m most excited to teach drama (always a dramatic!)

    Summer goal: My goal for the summer is to be the best version of myself, and to be a good role model for the campers

    Fun Fact: My most recent obsession has been with the Percy Jackson Musical – I’ve seen it three times since its spring 2017 opening and have a signed playbill/CD from being at the stagedoor, as well as video and photos of/with the cast.

    What do you do outside of camp? I’m a Junior in high school

    I look forward to teaching: Riflery and archery

    Fun Fact: I have a 180 pound dog

    Amanda Fucci Assistant Counselor

    Hometown: Lexington, MA

    Year at PVC: This is my 8th year and my first on staff!

    What do you do outside of camp? I am a junior in high school so I have one more year of that left, but I am also a Lifeguard and swim teacher at a recreation center in my town!

    I look forward to teaching: For sure ropes, I love hanging out in those trees and the whole ropes family.

    Summer goal: I hope to help girls learn to love camp as much as I do, and spread what my old counselors taught me to them.

    Fun Fact: I used to have a really odd fear of mice, practically nothing else in the whole world but mice really got to me. But, I am proud to say that as of this winter me and the mice are officially friends!!!

    What do you do outside of camp? I am a junior in high school where I take part in the school musicals and the swim team!

    I look forward to teaching: This summer I am looking forward to windsurfing and swimming!

    Summer goal: One goal I have for this summer is to make sure my campers are not afraid to be themselves

    Fun Fact: I went white water rafting in February on the Kennebec River

    Future Home: I will be at UNH for college

    Year at PVC: This will be my 3rd year at camp

    What do you do outside of camp? I am graduating from Kingswood Reg. High School and I will be attending UNH this fall, with a major in Social Work

    Summer goal: To make amazing drama productions!

    Fun Fact: I am in a documentary called Changing the Game; it’s about Transgender athletes and our journey through policies and laws in our state!
