    Matthew Jago Director

    Year at NW: 16th Summer at North Woods

    What do you do outside of camp? I am a Doctorate student of Education at the University of Derby

    I look forward to teaching: I am looking forward to seeing all the activities and helping out as much as possible all around camp

    Summer goal: One goal of mine is to spend more time with the campers and staff around camp

    Fun Fact: I started playing ball hockey this year and I love it

    What do you do outside of camp? I work at camp full time in the winter office (TLC) selling camp, talking to campers and parents and working to make next year better than this year

    I look forward to teaching: Paperwork

    Summer goal: Spend more time with staff and get to know more people at camp

    Fun Fact: Nomar Garciaparra’s younger brother told me that he had been traded from the Boston Red Sox in 2004

    What do you do outside of camp? Work as a Substitute teacher, an Independent Book seller, bar work

    I look forward to teaching: Swimming ~ almost anything

    Summer goal: To get physically fitter and in shape Have a cohesive, fun and well managed waterfront

    Fun Fact: I’ve visited 5 out of 7 continents

    Adam Osgood Junior Section Head

    Current Home: Boston, MA

    Year at NW: 7th year at NW

    What do you do outside of camp? I am a Senior at Boston University studying Psychology, I work at a research lab that studies how children learn best.

    I look forward to teaching: I teach fun

    Summer goal: I want to learn how to walk on my hands, and play guitar

    Fun Fact: I do freelance design work in my free time

    What do you do outside of camp? Mathematics and Computer Science student at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya

    Summer goal: Make the best out of the summer for everyone (especially the trailers!)

    Year at NW: 14th summer at camp and 7th on staff

    What do you do outside of camp? I am a lifeguard at the Oak Square YMCA and I am studying filmmaking

    I look forward to teaching: Riflery, fitness, campcraft, kayaking, and frisbee

    Summer goal: To be an awesome section head and support my staff to the best of my ability

    Fun Fact: I can freestyle rap and speak basic chinese

    Current Home: Montreal, QC

    Year at NW: 7 years (1 camper and 6 staff, 5 with the LITs)

    What do you do outside of camp? Business School student in 3rd year of my Management Bachelor. In January 2019, I started a 2-year exchange program with Concordia University, QC, Canada in order to get a double degree. During my first semester there, I got involved with the John Molson Human Resources and Management Association and I was hired as the VP of Management Academics for 2019-2020.

    I look forward to teaching: I used to teach Windsurfing but this year, I am looking forward to lead an upgraded LIT program.

    Summer goal: Connect with my co-counselor and lead my gentlemen towards their best self while making life-long memories.

    Fun Fact: Like a magic spell, when I say “Casino Night”, people tend to go crazy.

    Brad Stocklin CIT Program Director

    Year at NW: 11th, 6 on staff

    What do you do outside of camp? Im am a Junior Plymouth State University. Currently, I am studying elementary education. When I am not at school, I am substituting at schools in the town of Grafton.

    I look forward to teaching: Working with the CITs and doing dishes

    Summer goal: To spend more time with staff and get to know more people at camp

    Fun Fact: I met Seth Rogen at an airport in Baltimore

  • Angelo Lepore
    Angelo Lepore Assistant Counselor

    Hometown: Arlington, VA

    Year at NW: This is my 7th year at NW but my first year on Staff

    What do you do outside of camp? I’m a junior at Washington-Liberty High School, I’m a wrestler and nature enthusiast, I also love playing sports, making art, and having fun

    I look forward to teaching: Ropes, and anywhere else I’m needed

    Summer goal: To improve my leadership abilities, fulfill my summer requirements, learn about myself and others, get enough sleep

    Fun Fact: I’m really good at catching things in my mouth

  • Tully Sonneman
    Tully Sonneman Head Counselor and Lifeguard

    Hometown: Kyneton, Australia

    Year at NW: This is my first year at NW, I decided to apply because it sounded like experience with awesome people

    What do you do outside of camp? I am taking a gap year and working as a Lifeguard at my local pool. Next year I will be doing a double degree in Engineering and Science at UNSW

    I look forward to teaching: Swimming plus anything else that gets thrown at me

    Summer goal: To improve my leadership abilities and grow as a person

    Fun Fact: I’ve been to the highest point in Australia

    Year at NW: 10th summer 2nd on staff

    What do you do outside of camp? I am a senior at Medfield High School and am studying business next year at George Washington University

    I look forward to teaching: Swimming

    Summer goal: To get to know as many campers as possible

    Fun Fact: I teach skiing in the winter

    Year at NW: This is my 9th summer at camp (1st on staff)

    What do you do outside of camp? I am a junior at Washington-Lee High School. I play soccer and like to run. I am currently a cashier at a local grocery store.

    I look forward to teaching: I am looking forward to teaching soccer and basketball!

    Summer goal: One goal I have for this summer is to show campers that being themselves is one of the best character traits a person can have.

    Fun Fact: One fun fact about me is that I’ve lived in 8 different places, including Honduras and Ecuador.

    What do you do outside of camp? I am a Junior at Needham High School and I work as an assistant coach at a track club

    What do you do outside of camp? I am a senior at North Reading High School and I’ll be attending Endicott College for Nursing

    I look forward to teaching: Swimming, Basketball, and Archery

    Summer goal: My goals for this summer are to push myself out of my comfort zone, and encourage others to do the same, as well as living in the moment and enjoying every second and part of camp!

    Fun Fact: I can burp the ABC’s

    Year at NW: This will be my first year working at North Woods

    What do you do outside of camp? I work at Edinburgh’s 5 star visitor attraction Camera obscura and world of illustions.

    I look forward to teaching: I’lookingin forward to teaching the campers drama and swimming

    Summer goal: My main goal I have set for summer is to ensure that all the campers have a summer to remember

    Fun Fact: I have a huge obsession with Shrek

  • Kevin Caicedo
    Kevin Caicedo Head Counselor

    Current Home: Popayán – COL

    Year at NW: This will be my first year at camp, I’m really excited to work with all kinds of people and interact with kids around the world.

    What do you do outside of camp? I finished my bachelor in basic education with emphasis in Spanish and English. Currently, I’m working teaching basic English, and some economics classes to high school students. And I give some Spanish lesson to visitors in Popayan.

    I look forward to teaching: I want to share my abilities at camping, swimming, and some of my experience with kayak

    Summer goal: I have a lot of goals, but the most important is learning a lot of everyone, help each role in the camp, to improve my knowledge and make some friends.

    Fun Fact: I can spend hours watching videos of Hot Wheels tracks, it’s so relaxing

    What do you do outside of camp? I just finished my freshman year at Mitchell College in CT

    I look forward to teaching: Riflery, Basketball, Fishing

    Summer goal: To help campers get the same enjoyed experience that I had.

    Fun Fact: I work at the mystic aquarium and love being with animals

    Year at NW: 6th summer at camp, 1st on staff

    What do you do outside of camp? I am a junior at Lexington High School, I run cross country, indoor and outdoor track and I lifeguard at a local pool.

    I look forward to teaching: Sailing and Windsurf

    Summer goal: One of my goals this summer is to make camp as fun for the campers as it was for me.

    Fun Fact: In the last year I ran over 800 miles

    What do you do outside of camp? I am a junior at Washington-Lee High School, getting ready to begin applying to colleges this fall

    I look forward to teaching: I am looking forward to helping out in any activity, especially soccer and waterski (hopefully)

    Summer goal: My main goal is to provide campers with the most welcoming and comfortable camp experience

    Fun Fact: I’ve lived in Paris and traveled around Europe

    Year at NW: This will be my 8th summer at North Woods (6 camper years, 1 CIT year)

    What do you do outside of camp? I’m going into my senior year at Salisbury School (Highschool).

    I look forward to teaching: I am looking forward to lifeguarding, and canoe and kayak

    Summer goal: I am hoping to know everyone better and to make this everyone’s best summer yet

    Year at NW: First year ever working at a camp, super looking forward to it!

    What do you do outside of camp? First year at University in Manchester currently studying Biology with Chemistry

    I look forward to teaching: Looking forward to learning some new water sport activities and hopefully be able to teach folks a few skills about the outdoors along the way

    Summer goal: To make as many people’s summer as one they’ll always remember!

    Fun Fact: I am an avid rugby player but whenever I feel the need to give the boots a rest then fishing or golf has to be my top activity (I’ve even been involved in fishing for my country)

    Year at NW: I have been going to camp for 6 years and this year will be my first time as staff. I feel this is a great way to spend my summer giving back to the camp I have gone to for many years.

    What do you do outside of camp? I am a junior at Saint John Paul II Highschool and I am on my schools swim team and am a proud member of the drama club.

    I look forward to teaching: Swimming, Drama

    Summer goal: To help campers get the same enjoyed experience that I had.

    Fun Fact: I know almost all the lines from the Princess Bride by heart

    Year at NW: This summer will be my 6th at North Woods

    What do you do outside of camp? I am a student at Wellesley High and also a boy scout working on my Eagle

    I look forward to teaching: I am looking forward to teaching archery, kayak, and riflery

    Summer goal: This summer I really want to develop a friendly relationship with my campers and I hope to be able to convince at least one apprehensive kid to give camp a chance

    Fun Fact: I am a huge cinephile and love to talk about movies, old and new

    What do you do outside of camp? I am a sophomore at Saint Michael’s College

    I look forward to teaching: Campcraft

    Summer goal: Invasive Species of the Day

    Fun Fact: I can eat a dollar menu cheeseburger in one bite last time I checked

    Fun Fact: Every time I go to America, at least 1 elderly lady will tell me I should play basketball
