What are the Sandy Island cabins like?
The cabins at Sandy Island are simple and comfortable. All beds are twin size, and many cabins also have bunk beds. Cabins have electrical outlets and lights, screened windows, a small porch, chairs, clothes lines, and a few drawers for storage.
Do I have to bring linens?
Blankets (wool & cotton), pillows, and sheets are provided. You’ll need to bring your own bath towels, and beach towels if you want to swim.
How many people stay in each cabin?
Cabins differ in design and size, ranging from 1 to 10 guests.
Can I request a specific size cabin?
Yes! Cabin requests will be handled on first-paid, first-served basis. Let us know what you’re looking for.
What’s the bathroom/shower situation?
Three of the cabins contain multiple single and double rooms; each have a shared shower, toilet and sink. A fourth has its own toilet and sink.
The rest of the cabins do not have bathroom facilities inside the cabins themselves. Sandy Island Camp has four mini lavatories with toilets and sinks close to the cabins, as well as three larger main bath houses with hot showers, sinks and toilets.
