WATERFRONT

Lifeguards are key at North Woods Camp, where the lake is life. Join this hardworking, lifesaving crew and enjoy your summer working outside, meet new people everyday, and gain valuable experience to guide you later in life.

Boat Drivers help us effectively teach and help coordinate camp’s waterfront boating activities, and help to maintain a standard that leads to a quality program, while ensuring a safe and efficient waterfront operation.

SECTION HEAD

Enjoy working in the great outdoors, learn awesome skills that you will use for the rest of your life, and help support North Wood by supporting and managing our campers and camp counselors.

The administrative head of a Village/Section (4-10 cabins) takes an active, on-going role in the teaching, evaluation and leadership function of all staff and campers under her/his direction.  Coordinates, organizes, and facilitates coed days.  Leads one full Vespers/Chapel (values oriented) program.  Responsible for Section facilities and supplies. North Woods:  Junior 8-10 year olds, Trailers 11-12 year olds, Seniors 13-15 year olds.

Head Counselor

Who doesn’t want a job working on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee? Come work at our YMCA Boys Camp where every day you will wake to the sound of loons singing, spend your days impacting our campers lives, and build meaningful friendships while mentoring our staff, and head to bed after seeing an incredible sunset.

It is the counselor-to-camper relationship, the example set, the interest shown, the constant concern for the campers’ welfare and happiness both spiritually, physically, morally and mentally that make a resident camp what it should be for our campers.  Responsibilities include supervision, leadership, and guidance to a group of 8-10 girls/boys of similar age within a cabin.  In addition the Head Cabin Counselor instructs in one or more activity areas daily. This position reports to the Camp Director and Village Leader.

Assistant Counselor

It is the counselor-to-camper relationship, the example set, the interest shown, and constant concern for the camper’s welfare and happiness that make a camp what it should be for our campers!!

General responsibilities include the ability to identify and meet camper needs and carry out camp programs.  Assist the Cabin Counselor with supervision and guidance of the cabin.  Function as the primary counselor in the absence of the Counselor.  Responsibilities include supervision, leadership and guidance to a group of 8-10 campers of similar age in a cabin.  Live with campers.  Assist or instruct in one or more activity areas each day.
