Pleasant Valley Camp is searching for an energetic, fun, creative, organized team-oriented, dedicated individual to help demonstrate a customer service focused- “camper first” approach to Camp. This leader will work closely with and under the direction of the Pleasant Valley Director to deliver exceptional programs, safety, and/or hospitality. This is a unique opportunity to create and implement innovative experiences for Pleasant Valley Campers.

It is the counselor-to-camper relationship, the example set, the interest shown, and constant concern for the camper’s welfare and happiness that make a camp what it should be for our campers!!
General responsibilities include the ability to identify and meet camper needs and carry out camp programs. Provide supervision and guidance of the cabin. Mentor and support your co-counsel and assistant counselor. Function as the primary counselor in the absence of the Counselor. Responsibilities include supervision, leadership and guidance to a group of 8-10 campers of similar age in a cabin. Live with campers. Assist or instruct in one or more activity areas each day.

Boat Drivers help us effectively teach and help coordinate camp’s waterfront boating activities, and help to maintain a standard that leads to a quality program, while ensuring a safe and efficient waterfront operation.

The administrative head of a Village/Section (4-10 cabins) takes an active, on-going role in the teaching, evaluation and leadership function of all staff and campers under her/his direction. Coordinates, organizes, and facilitates coed days. Responsible for Village/Section facilities and supplies. Villages at Pleasant Valley: Junior 8-10 year olds, Middler 11-12 year olds, Senior 13-15 year olds.
